Outside Fun In February!!

Today it is snowing but this weekend we really nice outside. It was 56 degrees in February and the kids got the summer toys out and played in the yard. It was nice to get some fresh air!

Here was our outing! After a weekend of the worst stomach flu and canceling masons B-Day party we went out for some fun pumpkin pickin. We had a blast and just missed the rain storm. Then we went home for some ice cream and cake!

Summer at the zoo

Mason could visit the zoo every week if we would let him. He loves to see the Ape and hold the map like he is in charge! We have gone a few times this summer and I'm sure we will be back!

4th of July Fun

We had a blast watching fireworks in Logan on Friday and Mason got to go miniature golfing for the first time. Now he wants to go again. Then we caught some more fireworks in Sandy on Monday. May the fireworks continue....we still have a bunch in our garage that I am sure my boys will be shooting off in the weeks to come!

Vacation to get warm

We took the weekend and went down south to get some much needed heat! We visited St. George, Zions National Park, and Snow Canyon State Park. It was lots of fun. Mason was our guide and told us where to go on the map!

Easter 2011

We had lots of fun this Easter. We went to two Easter egg hunts, colored eggs, ate eggs, ate lots of candy and hid eggs in our front room. But the best part was when my three year old asked me " How do we come alive again after we die like Jesus did? How do we do that?" It makes you smile when you realize that your kids really do listen to what you teach them and they have such a sweet spirit! By the way I let dad and Grandpa answer that deep question.

Little Slugger

I am so excited for next year to put Mason in TBall. We went out to play with him the other day and without even telling him he watched the ball and actually hit a bunch of them. Wow I was impressed. Then he later told Grandpa that he kept his eye on the ball like daddy told him. What a cutie. I can't wait for Logan be big enough to play also! Boys are a blast.

Well if it is going to snow we may as well enjoy it. We got home from running errands at 5:30 tonight and Mason and I ran outside to make a quick snowman before dark. Here it is!

Indoor Fun

Is winter over yet? We decided we needed some fun that was out of the cold since we have a little one to tag along so we went to the Dino museum. Mason had a blast and it was nice to get out and do something after being cooped up inside all winter. We are going to go sledding this week before it all melts. We can't wait for summer!!!!

Christmas.....its finally over!

Well Christmas was crazy this year to say the least. We left to go home to my parents house late because of the flu bug....during which flu our dryer broke! Once we got to Fallon we did have a great Christmas and Santa tripped and fell once again this year. We played games and enjoyed time with the family. We delayed going back to Utah a few days due to the storms. When we decided to leave we made it out a few hours and broke down...after sitting in a McDonalds parking lot for 5 hours my family showed up to take us back to Fallon. The car parts went to the shop and Mike and Grandpa spent many hours putting the Jeep back together. Then five days later we set out again only to find that the Jeep had more trouble. Once again we turned around back towards Fallon (during which time Mason was so glad to be going back to Grandpas AGAIN). The next day (third time is a charm) we headed out again and finally made it home with not a day to spare of the vacation before Mike went back to school. And yes now we all have a horrible cold which gave Little Logan RSV. Through it all I sure am glad to have my family. They bring me a lot of joy and we are all safe at home tonight playing trains and just spending time together. Here are just a few pictures from the holiday.

Gingerbread Train

Since Mason loves trains so much I couldn’t help myself when I saw a gingerbread train....so this year we made a gingerbread train for christmas! We had a blast.

Yes this is mom and dads bed....I have come to the conclusion that when you have reached pure exhaustion from lack of sleep and a head cold, you no longer care where the kids are as long as they are sleeping. And I must add it made me smile when I woke up to this...my two boys cuddled together!

Temple Square Christmas Lights

Here we are as a family for the tradition of seeing the Temple Square Christmas Lights. This year we took Grandma and Grandpa Hunter with us. It was beautiful as always and freezing cold...although I am sure Logan didn't notice. See how bundled he was inside the stroller! Mason called it quits a bit early though...then it was off for some much needed Hot Chocolate!

New Arrival-Logan Michael Williams

Well our little guy finally came ...with a little help from induction. It all went pretty smooth and now we are all home just enjoying the time together. He came into our world on Wednesday at 6:11 pm weighing 7 lb 7 oz. He is such a great baby...I can't complain. He is a keeper!!

Mason is the best big brother. He just gives him kisses and hugs. Sometimes he is a little bit rough but it will just make baby Logan stronger I guess :)

Halloween Fun

I got this great idea from a show called Studio 5. They took a pumpkin and painted it with chalk board paint (two coats and let it dry for 24 hours). Then it is tons of fun to decorate with chalk. My little guy just loved it and after you decorate it once then you can do it all over again. You could even decorate it different for each day. It was an inexpensive way to have some holiday fun!

Pumpkin Patch

Well luckily we were able to find a pumpkin patch not to far from where we live. I really like to have Mason pick his own pumpkins and not just get them at the store....it is part of the fun in this season. He just ran all over the place ...no time to wait for mom and dad. Now we are excited for carving them when we get a little closer to Halloween!

Also there was a horse across the street that he got to pet...everything is more exciting with kids!

3 Years Old

So out little guy is all grown up. He turned three over the weekend and Grandma and Grandpa Hunter along with aunt Amy and Uncle Brice got to share in all the fun. It was really nice to have the family here to celebrate with him. Thanks for coming!

Last year I went all out on the cake and I am a little sad to say that I just didn't have it in me this year. I did however put a train on top which was all he wanted anyway. He lives for trains. It is an everyday occurrence to hear trains puffing down the track in the front room. He is such a great kid we couldn't ask for more.

Alta

It has been really fun getting to know the new area we live in. We took a drive up to Alta the other day and stopped to take a few pictures up one of the trails. We only made it until the trail went up hill...my belly was not making a hike sound like such a good idea. We did get to throw some rocks in the river and who can underestimate the incredible find " pine cones". We actually find pine cones all around were we live .... our little guy is just fascinated by them lately

Zoo Fun

Summer

Yes I know it has been a while since I have updated my blog...it has been a bit crazy. Mike is in Missouri for the summer and Mason and I are staying with my mom in Nevada. I am about 5 months pregnant and ready to have my husband back. In the meantime we went with my family to our cabin in Twin Lakes CA for the fourth of July and these are a few of the pictures. Mason had a blast getting really dirty and going in the canoe with Grandpa.

Frosty

Grandpa and Dad helped the little guy build the worlds best snowman....or at least we thought it was the best snowman. And they even had time for a little playing in the snow! Its a good thing Mom and Grandma were out shopping so they didn't realize how long the boys had all been outside in the snow...men loose track of time when they are having fun. By the time the sun went down they had two great snowmen to show off.

Hardware Ranch

We have been wanting to take our little guy to the Hardware Ranch so when the Grandparents came to town we made the trip. He had a blast seeing the Elk even though it snowed on the the whole time. I loved the picture of him catching a snowflake on his tongue. Kids have a way of making everything better!

Christmas 2009

This wa a great Christmas for our little guy. It looked like Santa tripped and dropped everything at one spot. After opening all the gifts he had to just lay down and rest :)

We also had what is sure to be the next family tradition...a snowball fight using all the mashed up balls of paper from unwrapping. I would suggest this fun game to all who have kids. It was a blast.

Temple Square

Over thanksgiving ...as tradition, we went down to Salt Lake to see the lights. We really enjoyed it this year. They added nativity scenes all around. Our little guy sure did enjoy all the water fountains...it was his favorite part!

Snow has come!!!

Well today it was a winter wonder land! I love it....just as long as I can stay home in front of our fireplace. So ...dad promised Biggy that we would play in the snow after his nap if it kept coming down...and it did. It snowed all day so we went sledding down the sidewalk and all around in the yard. This was one of those moments as a family that just makes you smile.

Grandma & Grandpa came to town...

Well this last weekend Grandma and Grandpa came in the dump truck to visit. We had lots of fun bit here are just a few pics of our little guy helping Grandpa work on the garden dirt getting it ready for the next year! He got really dirty but it was all worth it !

Halloween

Well our big guy dressed up as a giraffe this year. He had a blast just handing out the candy to all the other kids. He would get all excited and run to the door every time he could hear voices outside. We also made our first batch of homemade donuts. We will have to make it a family tradition....and I must say they turned out really good!

The Great Pumpkin

Well since Biggy is now 2 we decided to let him pick out his very own pumpkin this year. It was so much fun and yep...he picked one that was at the very bottom. When I tried to have him take it to the car he said simply, "TOO HEAVY". What a great kid he is. We can't wait to do the carving!!

Family Reunion...sorry so late

Well in July we had our Family Reunion just for my immediate family. Brice just got home from his mission and we were all together for the first time. This was also the first time Uncle Brice go to meet Mason. They really hit it off. They came to Logan for a a week and we just went all around having fun...this is a snapshot of some of it! (Dinasour Museum, Bear Lake, etc.)

Golden Spike

We took Mason out to the Golden Spike National Monument for a little fun the other day since we both had the day off. The horn really made him jump but he had a blast. He didn't want to go home ...note the picture of him running back toward the trains!

Fathers Day

Well - Here is Mason and dad on fathers day. It was raining out on the deck before church. The day started out as normal...then Mason got a coat hanger stuck under his tongue. Good old dad finally got it out with a little tugging and blood. Thus the pacifier.....we couldn't get it away from him the whole day. By about 5:30 when he woke up from his nap and he was all swolen under his chin we went to the ER. He wouldn't eat or drink anything and just let his slobber fall out of his mouth!! Poor little guy. He is healing now after a tramatic day and lots of loves from mom and dad.

Here is Mason with his new fish...or as he calls it "pishie". We started out with three and now we are down to just the one fish "Bob". Hopefully he will stay alive for a while. Mason really likes to help dad feed them. He even tried to give them a bite of his cracker the other day! What a crazy kid.
